Webinar: The Certificate of Origin: towards a blockchain enabled global trade asset

We are pleased to invite you to our webinar on the pilot project by T-Mining and GUUD for the issuance, transfer and verification of a Certificate of Origin (CO) on blockchain between Europe and South East Asia.

Global trade documentation and the accurate completion thereof is essential to the successful importing and exporting of goods. The CO is an important international trade document that certifies that a commodity or good is wholly obtained, produced, manufactured or processed in a particular country. 

The CO is requested by the exporter and often certified by the chamber of commerce. Some chambers already issue electronic COs, but authentication, authorisation and privacy often remain a challenge for CO documentation. Blockchain technology is used to connect the different platforms that issue COs across multiple regions, creating a seamless, secure transfer and validation of these documents, resulting in enormous efficiency gains.

With the support of their respective chambers of commerce, Belgian-based T-Mining and its Singaporean partner GUUD are starting a pilot project this year for the issuance, transfer and verification of COs on blockchain between Europe and South East Asia.
